Welcome to Episode 30 of "What's Left"

ORIGINALLY RECORDED ON 15-NOVEMBER-2011

This week, Sam Toles and Greg Maratea discuss the meaning of the results of the Off Off Year election, the Republican 2012 Nominating Contest, Bill Clinton, Obama 2012, and the clearing out of the Occupy movement.

Will Newt Gingrich take the nomination? Will Obama run a Rove-like re-election campaign? Why is Bill Clinton just so darned good at politics? And... What happened to the right to free speech for the Occupy movement?

Greg and this week's co-host, Sam, break it down for you.

Welcome to Episode 29 of "What's Left"

ORIGINALLY RECORDED 12-JUNE-2011

This week, Sam Toles and Greg chat about the prospects of John Huntsman or Mitt Romney or Michele Bachmann taking the Republican Presidential Nomination and/or prevailing over 44 - Barry Obama in 2012. It doesn't seem probable with the current crop of Republican candidates, until you read Obama's numbers in the battleground polls.

Also covered are the hot topics of the week - the United States' Economy v. Republican Austerity Measures, the game of chicken being played with the Debt Ceiling, the trial balloon of Hilary Rodham Clinton as the head of the World Bank, (thankfully briefly) Representative Anthony Weiner (D, NY-9), and the latest in Cathedral City CA self governance.

Folks, it is time to turn left, What's Left.

Welcome to Episode 28 of "What's Left"

ORIGINALLY RECORDED 14-APRIL-2011

Sam Toles returns to discuss the week in politics "Other Side of Fair and Balanced"-style, including, the Paul Ryan/GOP proposal to balance the budget, the Obama response, and the 2012 Republican Presidential field.

Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, Iowa, Ohio, Taxes, The Bond Market, Glenn Beck, and Election Year 2012 - - how will it all fit together?

Also, especially insightful is Sam's take on California Governor Jerry Brown's proposal to balance the CA State budget, in-part, by cutting redevelopment funds to local government. Being a member of the City Council of Cathedral City, Sam's view is informative and instructive.

Welcome to Episode 27 of "What's Left".

ORIGINALLY RECORDED 12-31-2010

This week Ryan and Greg review the year in politics for 2010 and the shadow the Mid-Term Elections and the Lame Duck Session will cast over 2011.

Obama got Gays in the Military, a Nuclear Arms Reduction Treaty, and a second (larger) stimulus bill through Congress. All victories that make 44 look Presidential. Republicans got the House and the fire from the Tea Party. Senate Democrats running for re-election in 2012 are scared of the GOP momentum.

Which will influence the coming year(s) more?

Thank You for listening. Happy 2011 to you all.

Even if you 180 degree disagree, you will walk away with a better understanding of the issues before you, the likely California Voter.

Welcome to "What's Left" - Episode 21 - Blue Tears, Red Ink

Realizing that we are way past the tipping point, with Republican momentum still yet to peak, the discussion revolves around the following:

Wake Up Democrats, V O T E !

How can there be an enthusiasm gap between Democrats and Republicans? If you are a Democrat, and if you are disenchanted with Barry, wait until Speaker Boehner arrives on the scene.

If you are a Democrat and disappointed in the 44th President of the United States, wait until there are Tea Partiers not only in the house, but in the Senate... Six years of at least two, possibly three Senators Tea Party...

Some of the side show events that pass for candidates and/or political news are also discussed.

Spend some of the last minutes of the Democratic Party's, and possibly Barry Obama's, Glory Days with Ryan and Greg.
